Meet Stephanie, originally from New York, educated in Germany and Spain. She is bilingual in English / German and fluent in Spanish. Her interests include travelling, submerging in nature and exploring new cultures.
Her previous experience in non-profit/community services has been, among others, in Panama, Sri Lanka and The Dominican Republic. This is her second year in The Dominican Republic working for an NGO.
Stephanie studied civil and environmental engineering and is a certified TEFL teacher. She has 10 years experience in project and event planing, organizing and coordinating. She is an environmental enthusiast and advises and develops environmental programs.
In 2016 Stephanie worked with Inspire, creating various environmental and educational projects for the boys. Currently she is teaching English and developed a holistic garden program. The program teaches the process of creating and maintaining a garden, explains the value of interacting with the environment, using recycled materials, working together as a team, learning different values such as patience, respect and caring for the community, cooking and nutrition and more.
She helped plan and organize our 2nd Anniversary event and has been connecting and encouraging other foundations to work together with us, opening up possibilities to grow together, exchange ideas and have the children interacting with each other.
